Continuing 'sweeps month', here is some more original art from (the late) Lya Korda - the Hungarian-born nonagenarian talent who passed away back in September, 2011.
When I was allowed to take up to two different original drawings of Lya's at her funeral, I chose works of anthropomorphic art. One of them was some unused cover art for a holiday issue of "Brow Beat" - the official monthly journal of the Broward County branch of MENSA. Well, on the same sheet of paper as that unused cover art were a few more pencil-drawn characters - all of them owls (the MENSA mascot) - which I thought I'd show in greater detail...
This first image, shows an owl dressed up like a wizard - a magic wand in his right wing - with the MENSA logo on the back of his robe. I'll have another owl creation of hers, to be posted shortly...
