I wanted to draw something to raise awareness for walkingtiger's fundraiser so he can go to Bangkok for an internship with the FREELAND Foundation. More info can be found on his journal here http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2925197/

He is selling prints of his beautiful photography, which features quite a few up close shots of big cats in zoos as well as in the wild. Of course there are some other animals in there as well, but you know I love the cats ;3

About the Art
I referenced one of walkingtiger's pictures. http://fav.me/d15pedk This beautiful tiger cub is named Nadya, and as you'll see if you read the heartwarming story on the photo, walkingtiger named her himself! Her name is Russian for hope, and I thought it fitting to use her in a picture representing hope for the tigers who the Freeland Foundation (and by extension walkingtiger) may save.

Art was done on black cardstock with prismacolor pencils and a white gel pen which has now bitten the dust. I think it took a good 6 hours. I am least happy with the ball of light, but I love the way little Nadya came out.
