Continuing 'sweeps month', here is another anthropomorphic image from the (late) nonagenarian artist, Hungarian-born Lya Korda (who I used to occasionally play against at Scrabble Club 276).

As part of the "Unused Cover Art" drawing I'd taken home with me (following her funeral in September, 2011), there were additional doodles of owls she'd rendered (on the same sheet of paper), in the hope that some of them would appear on the cover of "Brow Beat" - the monthly MENSA journal for Broward County (of which owls are the official mascot).

Now, I'm sure that many of you "Fur Affinity" members are quite familiar with some of the fantasy hybrid critters (fox-taurs, wolf-dragons, skunk-bears, etc.) drawn by other anthroartists. Well, Lya came up with her own ingenious hybrid variation: a unicorn-owl! Here's a close-up of her penciled rendering of one (which I've carefully darkened, using Paint.net).

I hope that some of you 'give a hoot' about Lya's talent, as I will have more owl images from her before November ends...
