A recently finished commission, based on a photo provided by the customer. Remind me never to do another picture where the car tires have spokes; those were a pain to do. Mostly watercolor, some ink and colored pencil.

This is truly a beautiful piece of work. The intricate shadows and shading, the wonderful Rolls, and Salem looking sharp in a three-piece suit--it all comes together to make a work of art.

The detail on this picture is amazing! Based on the thumbnail I would have sworn that this was a photoshopped picture. I am completely flabbergasted.

Yeah, it was a commission where the customer gave me a photo to work from. Of course, the furry character part I did myself.

Looks like Gatsby's Rolls Royce, though it needs green leather instead of tan.

I don't have ADD because I remember the color of Gatsby's Car :P

The photo was from the Gastby movie, so I'm not sure why the color of the interior is off. Because what I worked from was a 2nd or 3rd generation color copy maybe the color simply got washed out and didn't look green any more.

Beautiful! looks like a hand-colored photo.
Spokes are the worst, I agree. Trying to draw a vintage Triumph motorcycle was a pain. I will avoid that sort of thing in the future.

This was a commission, so the guy who commissioneded it gave me the photo with the car. I've actually done some illos of Salem with a Lamborghini (Countash and Diablo) but I don't think I have copies or scans of those any more.
