"Happy Birthday, Koori," Leuphe chuckled, walking in the doorway. The entire party was here now, a stack of gifts in a corner and tables of games and refreshments scattered about.
"Thanks for coming, Leuphe!" Koori said, hugging him from behind as soon as the door closed.
"Hey, hey!" Leuphe laughed, tilting. "Careful!"
Koori giggled lightly, moving from around him to pick out his gift from his hands to give it a shake, before putting it down with the rest. "Feel free to mingle a bit, Leuphe! It's almost time for the cake."
And Leuphe did just that, walking around, shaking hands, grabbing some fruit punch (and successfully spilling it on himself, damn beaks made it impossible without special cups). Everyone seemed to be having a good time, people of all species and sizes around.
"Cake's on!" a dog called from the dining room, and everyone rushed in to watch. Koori, the slim blue fox sat at the head of the table as his mother, a much taller, slimmer blue fox without Koori's muzzle markings, placed in front of him a chocolate cake, with 18 candles arranged in a circle.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Koooooriiiii... Happy birthday to youuuuu!" the room sang, in a slightly off tone manner. Koori blew out the candles in one go, and of course everyone clapped. Everyone got a slice of cake, and then it was time for the best part: the presents!
Koori started at the bottom of the pile, opening them up and smiling in glee with the gifts, for the most part. Leuphe's gift came last, and he smiled expectantly. Koori shredded off the blue gift wrap, and opened the small cardboard box, seemingly dissapointed by what was inside: a scrap of paper. Koori picked it up, reading the blue writing on it... and blinked, making sure to read in again. He stared at Leuphe, who only gave a small nod, and Koori stuck the paper in his pocket.
"Thanks for the gifts, everyone!" he said, a slight tremble to is voice. Everyone got up, and went back to the party rooms, mingling as some people left early and people slowly started to trickle out due to the time. Leuphe simply waited, smiling as he was preparing himself for later.
Finally, he and Koori were the last ones left, and Koori joined the gryphon on the couch.
"Was... is your note serious?" Koori asked. Leuphe only nodded, holding out his hand to lead Koori back to his bedroom for more privacy. Koori followed, closing the door behind them and locking it. Koori stared at Leuphe, who laid down and began his process.
His body dissolved away into a puddle on the hardwood floors, a giant blue puddle of goo that almost covered the whole room. Koori stepped in without fear, knowing about Leuphe's abilites for a long time now. A thick coil of goo ran up the fox's body, Leuphe's torso on the end, about twice it's normal size. Koori was lifted off the ground with a yip and a blush.
"Alright Koori, I hope you're ready..." Leuphe purred. "No going back now."
"No, please do it... I'd love to be just like you!"
Leuphe nodded at this, running his hands over Koori and coating him in a thick film of blue goo. Koori shivered at the warm fluid rolling over him, finding it hard to move in it's hold. Leuphe began to pull Koori directly into his body. Koori soon found himself inside the giant goo gryphon's gut, being rubbed over protectively by the bird.
"Alright... Here goes," Leuphe chirped, focusing his mind. Koori felt a tingling sensation before going unconsious, his body melting into a slightly darker blue goo then Leuphe's. His body changed from a solid lump to a blue puddle of goo, sloshing around and starting to dissolve and mix with Leuphe.
Koori's mind began to wake up, finding himself floating and having no control over the joined body. He squirmed a bit, but Leuphe mentally held his mind in place as he spread the ancient curse he had to the melted fox. Koori whined mentally, feeling his mind lose control over himself. This whole process only took a minute, but it felt like a day to the both of them.
"Alright, Koori," Leuphe sighed, exhausted from the effort. "I'm gonna pull you back out... You need to reform your body, quick..."
Koori mentally nodded in understanding as Leuphe began to drip Koori-goo from his fingers, making a blob on the floor after all of Koori's body had been evacuated. The blob squirmed about, making itself taller and thinner with two long misshappen tentacles, like arms. Leuphe nodded, ready to help if Koori needed it.
But Koori was handling it fine on his own, as he began to slowly refine his features over a period of thirty minutes. First fingers came about, then his arms and chest began to define, and finally facial features. With a sigh, Koori collapsed back, whole body formed in goo form and dripping around on the floor.
"God... that's exhausting..." Koori moaned.
"Not done yet, Koori..." Leuphe chuckled. "Gotta return to your solid form..."
"Must I?" Koori sighed, getting up a little. "How do I do that?"
"Just imagine yourself solid again, well, minus clothes. Just focus on all of the details!"
"A-Alright..." Koori said uneasily, closing his eyes. Leuphe pulled himself together and became solid himself, sitting next to Koori and watching quietly. Minutes passed with no change, before Koori's fur began to show up again, and sure enough, his body reformed back into a solid Koori. The fox opened one eye, peering at Leuphe. "Did I do it?"
Leuphe laughed and nodded, bending down to hug the fox. "You did it. You're now a liquidshifter, Koori."
"Hehe..." Koori blushed and smiled, getting up and reclothing himself. "Thank you, Leuphe, I think that's the best birthday gift so far."
Leuphe simply nodded, getting up and chuckling as he pulled on his own clothes. "But of course. More then happy to help spread the goo around. If you need 'tutoring' with your new ability, just gimme a call, I can probably show you how to work it."
"Alright... Thank you, Leuphe!" Koori giggled, blushing. Leuphe waved goodbye and walked out, the party finally over.
