Prt 13/13. Shiftwell Gets Pumped (A Cars Inflation Comic)
Its okay folks! Holley Shiftwell is alive and well despite previous events!

In this version of the Cars universe a car isn't made up of their chassis and headlights and the rest of their exterior components, but their personality, memories, and soul are kept safe in their engines. So although Holley's bodywork went kaboom, her engine (light enough to float thanks to a few modifications) drifted merrily away to settle in the sands of a beach, far from her apparent demise.
One wonders what will happen when she's retrieved. Assemble her same chassis from before with modifications to prevent a similar fate? Maybe place her engine into a souped up vehicle for exacting her righteous vengeance? Maybe Mater will agree to cart her around in a rented model for awhile, perhaps with humorous results...

If engines are souls, then maybe they can be rebuilt? It could be like that school inflation story you did, except more versatile. With the school, you need the flesh of the owner. For cars, you could just use the correct components and arrange them a certain way, even if lacking anything from the original engine. You can make clones!
