graphite, coffee and gouache on Stonehenge paper
Barn owls are my favorite owls EVER, and my second favorite bird (crows get the top slot).
Two things I've discovered with this painting: gouache is in fact friends with me now, and instant coffee stains much better than the stuff i brew in my coffee pot.
Mimicking Our Lady-style artwork, hence the title.
