I spent this last week on a bit of a vacation, venting a lot of weariness from my aching bones. While there I spent a couple of hours producing a gift for one of my best friends.
Shippou_Softpaw has been overseas for most of the year, causing an understandable amount of worry from family and friends. After months in the heat of Iraq he's returned, and I couldn't be more thankful. For many people this has yet to happen, or may never happen, giving us more reason to support our armed forces and their families. I may be disgusted and furious with our politicians, but never forget that our soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, etc. are our loved ones. If there's ever been something worth fighting for, this is it.

It's people like that that get my blood boiling, but that's just me. These people that hate you are the ones that do not understand what our colonists went through to defeat the British Empire (some of them Brits themselves). These are the people that tried but failed to take "under God" out of the Pledge of Alliegance. These are the people that would regret it if they tried their luck with another country with a different form of government, such as China.
Nonetheless, my gratitude goes to you, your husband, and all those who serve in uniform. I salute you!

Glad to hear that nothing happened to him, and very nice pic! Sadly the most people are against the military but they also dont know how much we soldiers do so they can live their live how they are used to it or better up the live of others.
I for myself am a proud soldier cause in July the president of Kosovo came to our barraks and thanks personally for us beeing there and that in the first time of the history of his country is 12years peace. That is worth every pain we have to endure downrange.
