Did you try it...the right way? xD I know there's a way you have to do it, you have to wiggle it.
I can put you in contact with someone that can give you some tips! You're putting your snake in danger every time you live-feed, plus it's inhumane for the rat (but I know most people don't care about that part).

It's not nice to the mouse I know but the pet store near me doesn't sell frozen rats either. They're a pain in the ass to find in VA.
Yeah I know it puts him in some danger cause the mouse can bite or scratch him but my vet said it's not really an issue to live feed as long as injuries are looked at quickly, and so far nothing's happened.
My old Brooks King Snake used to eat frozen but there's a lot of pet shops that carry frozen back in CA and he never had an issue. Just drop it in and he'd go for it.
