The three characters have nothing to do with Salem-- they're on an unrelated job and don't know he's there. (two of the three are the fursonas of people who did pay to have their characters in the book, however, if that's what you mean.)

E-heh... Well, "The Mule" is one of the three (probably) stories unknowing by me. And i was read it - http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2284704/ and i would think up the character specially for this, if could pay to you.
