...You're supposed to LUNGE AT THE VIEWER!
Okay, so, at MFF, I see this beautiful pic done by
Kazewolf in his nice brown-paper sktchbook done with white gelpen and copics, and I was completely blown away, Like, seriously, it was GORGEOUS. It's at this time that Anahi tells me she's got an identical book, completely unused, and she's been holding onto it for a couple years, and then offers it to me. in repayment, the first pic I do in it is for her. Well, later that night, I borrow some copics from 
boneitis and whip out this little diddy.
I should also mention that this is the first pic I've ever done with either brown paper or copics. I think I'm in love, yo!
Speaking of love,
cooper has been hunting for one of these books FOREVER. They're made by Cachet, 8.5"x11" and they're impossible to find up here in canadaland. So, if one should happen to land in her possession thanks to some friendly soul, they could be looking at some "applied Karma" if you know what I mean.

I have to say, the copic marker coloring looks great and stands out well on that type of textured paper indeed, with the shades of white, gray, and dark-blue blending nicely. :)
Really liking the lineart details you put into Anahi's battle outfit, including the creases/folds of the pants, small belts, the straps at the top of her body armor, gloves/guantlets, and the two combat knives she's wielding. The details in her hair flowing in the wind really caught my eye as well.
Great job on this pic overall, the action pose you drew for this character looks neat!
