Since I decided to try and start getting a little more serious about my art, I wanted to try doing a few fun things here, but I couldn't figure what to do--or what hadn't been done already.

Then the other night, this idea hit me--retro toy packaging. I've got a few other ideas I'm playing with as well.

With Thanksgiving here, the whole gluttony theme just fit. ;)

The card template took a whole night to do--matching fonts and placing text, taking the explosion background and building it up a little more. I learned a few lessons from doing the character art--in particular, color everything in a separate psd file, then import it in. Trying to color within the art itself was a major pain in the ass.

So I'm thinking...I can do these as commissions, possibly badges even. But, would there be an interest in them?
