That's kinda how it is meant xD
The ref I got (and which I didn't look much at because I drew offline... x-x ) was a rather serious, dark one.. so i tried to draw a more funny looking expression x3

Interesting dragon sitting on the beach here, he does seem to just stare at you it seems, nice,y constructed.
