Am I doing it yet? with small story
just a little pic I;ve had half done for ages featuring 
Gem was yelling from the back garden for her brother Zeezee with such urgency that Zeezee had dropped playing with his toys in his bedroom and practically sprinted out into the garden thinking something had happened and that Gem was in trouble. Instead he found his baby sister stood on the grass with a huge grin behind her pacifier. The panic in him subsided and his heart slowed down to a normal pace.
"Wats wrong?" He asked. his head tilted to one side in confusion.
"ZeezeeZeezee I did it i did it!! look look!" Gem squealed, beside herself with glee, as she lifted her paw up from the grass a little bit and grinned at him.
Zeezee was confused.
....errr....did wat?"
Gem looked at him and grinned again.
"my tail. I made it go up like yoors" She lifted her paw from the grass again and Zeezee noticed that her tail almost left the grass as she lifted her paw. It always moved when she moved her paws, Zeezee realised she must have only just discovered this fact and thought it was her, finally getting control of her tail.
Inwardly he grinned but he knew how much Gems tail meant to her. She was still too little to have strength in it to hold it up, but she was constantly trying to mimic him and his tail, he knew she idolised him and found it frustrating sometimes that she just wasnt capable of doing some of the things he could do just yet. He didnt want to upset her. So instead of shattering her delusion he just beamed a huge smile back at her and clapped his paws together.
"you know sis I fink you're almost there, just keep practicing"
Zeezee was knocked to the floor with an Omphf as Gem bundled into him, giggling and hugging her brother tight, happy that she was finally catching up

That's a really good idea because when Grub grows up too he's gonna be a butterfly and so when you're a mummy you'll have baby squirrels with butterfly wings and you'll get wings too and so will I because I'll be the baby butterfly squirrels' uncle and then we'll all go fluttering around together! *flaps arms and giggles*
Well everybody already said this was all cute and stuff so I can't say anything new. Oh wait. I'm creative. ^^
Their faces are super expressive, and the recent shading experimentation you've been doing is really paying off! This is beautiful!
*hops over to Gem* Yayyyy I bet you will be doing all kinds of cool things wif your tail soon! Like hanging upside down from trees wif it! And throwing snowballs wif it and maybe even dipping it in paint and making pictures wif it! *HUGs, totally oblivious to the dangers of giving Gem ideas*

Gotta admit, the shading looks much better here! It's getting that nicer, brighter look I was talking about c: Question though, do you not have sensitivity on your tablet (if you use a tablet?) or do you prefer not using it? I know some people prefer no sensitivity but most just don't know how to turn it on. It took me a while with my first tablet!
Sometimes it just glitches. My first tablet was a graphire and it didn't have any sensitivity. Turns out, I just needed to tweak it myself, but it really depends on your tablet, it could be anything.
Check your tablet settings under control panel, check if the sensitivity is on and how strong it is. If everything seems good there, check your pen settings on your art program. When I had trouble, I had trouble in SAI, which is what I use primarily. In SAI check:
- Min size should be 0% for full sensitivity
- Click on advance, play with hard <-> soft. I have mine at 48 personally.
If that still fails, I'd google or post a journal since usually people can figure it out. That's the only way I fixed mine.
