Another old piece of artwork from around November 1998 because the two latest pieces I'm doing are taking longer than expected....

This is Arlo, a character I created when I was into NIMHmuck around that time. He is the last living true Piebald hamster. Apparently, the true genetic line of piebald hamsters died out several years ago (and current piebald-lookalikes are mutations of a different breed), and I thought it would be a cool idea have a characters that is the last in his breed. (Of course hamster breeding experts, give me a shout if I'm totally wrong about the Piebald line being gone!)

I included both the colored versions and the design sketches, because frankly I like how the sketches came out better than how I did coloring in those days.... -_-

The "Also very cute" ones are essentially the same design, just in more interesting poses than the reference pics. ^_^
