Free at last, but for one or two;
Nested in peeling layers
The die is cast: hoping to feel you.
Throughput a transmission
To a ground control that cares so
Hammer and chisel in stone
Then cross it out.
Cannot be seen the mind is alone
A longing for
What cannot be known
A wave of tension in the night
Two lonely beings
A teardrop out of sight
Hushed by the wind that does not care
Floating limp in guilty blood
Mind and tooth, swords to plowshares
We could be beautiful,
You just are not there.
Nested in peeling layers
The die is cast: hoping to feel you.
Throughput a transmission
To a ground control that cares so
Hammer and chisel in stone
Then cross it out.
Cannot be seen the mind is alone
A longing for
What cannot be known
A wave of tension in the night
Two lonely beings
A teardrop out of sight
Hushed by the wind that does not care
Floating limp in guilty blood
Mind and tooth, swords to plowshares
We could be beautiful,
You just are not there.
