THE SNORKS! This is more or less the main cast, Allstar Seaworthy, his loyal octopus Occy, the green one's Tooter Shelby who just speaks in honk noises, there's Casey Kelp the...girl...and Daffney Gillfin the...other girl, and Dimitris "Dimmy" Finster who is...orange. And then there's the snobby rich Mayor's son, Wellington Wetworth Jr. and his naive little brother Willy. UNDERWATER SHENANIGANS ENSUE.
This was a labor of love...eeeeven though I really don't remember much of the show, just that even as a kid I liked it more then the Smurfs. I mean there's more then one female, they clearly have an established system of procreation, and they're not all identical and blue, so it takes a lot less suspension of disbelief to invest in their world.
Thinking back on it, they never really looked like sea-creatures. So I fixed that! Junior is wearing shoes because he can afford to. Swimming is for poor people.
If Cartoon Network is looking to bring back a totally marketable nostalgic property that has oodles of potential and could far out-do the original, I would suggest The Snorks to them hands down.
