A truly inspiring and moving piece by none other than  alectorfencer. This, unthinkably wonderful gift was a total and complete surprise. Alector, is nothing else if not sneaky as hell. But in all seriousness, this companion to Mortal Coil, truly evoked all that I saw in the music and so much more. A truly inspiring and wonderful depiction of Kayin, that took me off my feet literally. I wasn't able to say anything for minutes, while I just sat there like a slack jawed dummy.

So, thank you, for a piece of wonderful work that literally swept me off my feet. This is by and far my favorite piece of Kayin. It steals my breath each and every time I look at it.

Thanks for making my year!

From the mountain tops

And the mortal is restored to immortality.

Alector surprised me, with the other part of this amazing gift. Her work and her drive truly and unthinkably touched me, to say nothing of surprising me. I really had no idea it was coming even. She is quite sneaky.

 Alectorfencer said it best, so I think I will use her words here:

We sometimes need to break a circle in order to grow stronger to be able to reach the stars in the distance. This is a project I have thought about for a long time to collect as many ideas as possible to depict a story of a very deep character, focusing on the one and single character only. I started it some months ago and was able to complete it just these days. In time I added more ideas, read more, grew more into the story.

With her,  foxamoore and others, they created a... wonderful master piece. Second to none. And a gift that I have not the words to respond to. It has touched me so very profoundly. I am lucky and blessed to have their friendship.

Kayin, his consumate being, an Endless being trapped into a mortal's body. An immortal touched by mortality, never again the same. Knowing regret. Knowing love. His beginning and end, already written; the timeless cycle repeating time and time again. All of this has happened before, and all of it will happen again. The Journey, however, is one of growth and exploration. Coming to understand his past, and thus ascend once more to his future, only to watch the cycle repeat once more. Or, will it?

Thank you again, both of you, for everything. I could not ask for two better people in which to have such amazing friends.
