My mini stud is a little SHIT.. the dude just LOVES to bite bite bite. I've been having a hard time with that. However, I love how sexually assertive he is. :)

Ra is nippy to and thinks that anything that looks mountable that will hold still should be. Were working on the nippy issue. Its Anubis who has nuipper me the worse though. And all he was meaning was friendly grooming.

I've tried a few things from smacking him and saying "NO BITE" when he bites to holding his muzzle to just ending the session immediately, NOTHING seems to work. I'm about to try a muzzle though so that he can associate the muzzle with play time and everything else as "Be a gentleman time".. He's a darn friendly fellow though and even knows how to lay down. :)

Ra likes to lay down....belly scritchies when hes down. :) Ra's sire got over nipping in time Im sure Ra will as well.

Yeah, the mini is only going on 3, so he's sort of going through his 'terrible twos' which most stallions seem to go through in one form or another, though, some don't.

Ra is 2 this year. Same with Anubis. Anubis's terrible 2s I think are trying to look all studly and pretend he doesn't like the attention. But if you stop paying attention he comes over and nose bumps you demanding more attention; kind of ruins the effect. :)

HEEE! yeah, Ibn is like that too. He's turned out to be a real sweetheart. SUPER friendly lil' stud, the mini though, has something to proove it seems.. Plus he likes to do the baby face I'm a baby I'm a baby mouth clapping thing, then turns right around and bites. :) da lil' sheeeeit. :) He's sooo cute though.

The mini's are cute. And I think the nipping is a side effect of penis envy. After all when your small enough to walk under a full sized horse it says something about the size of your shlong in comparison. ;) Serrosly I think there more aggressive on average because they commonly have more of the hot blood lines in there back ground.

yup yup. I think you are right on that one. Is why I allways wanted a cold blood mini or cold blood pony. Ibn's a cross between an arabian (Who was remarkably well mannered and VERY VERY loving) and a laid back haflinger mare.

And sane? Thats not a common combo from what Ive scene in arabians. Worked security atone of the big arab shows and there was one mare who would freek if you walked by her stall and throw herself at the back wall in panic. IT was rather sad.
I have had a mini who was very lad back so they are out there. They just generally don't have the confirmation most breeders are looking for. The arab look is what they want.

He's *VERY* sane. So was his daddy. I hand raised ibn. and I was the first face he saw. I handled him every single day of his life for the first 6 months and everyweekend after that so he's very used to being handled and worked with.

Ra had much the same treatment. Lots of handling from day one. Its why he will let me roll him on his back and give tummy scritches. I have a pic of that some where....

I know! <^/.^> I have a friend....her mom hasa mini pont...and he was sold "Because" he was beingthing up the Stalloin...and he was fixed <o/.>;; he is one Bad Ass pony..LOL

Horse people call it gelding. We smart enough to know were breaking how it works not 'fixing' it. :) And yes they can be be very rough at times but if he was constantly beating on the stallion there was probably other issues.
