The Star Eagle was the first production model manned fighter craft capable of warp, helping the early Terran governments to secure their territories from threats both domestic and foreign. Designed as a versatile craft capable of operating in varied environments and with adaptable rolls, the Star Eagle is built for both atmospheric as well as space flight, and supports a balanced blend of weapon systems for both anti-fighter and anti-fleet rolls. The Star Eagle saw heavy use during the "Reclamation Wars", mostly in service to Earth and its efforts to bring the various colonies under their control. Its sturdy structure and shield emitter make it a durable craft capable of taking a beating while still making it home safe.
Although usually considered too out-dated for military use, in the modern day Star Eagles still see use by everything from freighter escorts to pirates looking for cheap, well-rounded support craft.
