You are very descriptive about.the trees. I can actually see the trees in my mind!

Nicely evocative. Your descriptions are wonderful. I've spent time in an autumn forest and you took me back there easily. I also like the way your two characters interact. The give and take is just tense enough to keep the reader guessing but not truly fear for their safety.
