Eh...ive seen quite a few things of yours that came out really nice with shading personally. I dont know if youve tried using blending stumps at all but they help a lot. Though the way you shade might be also just part of your style, because to me it seems like you have more anime stylish roots i guess, and thats how anime( not counting any book art because all book art is just godly with shading XD )is usually presented.
