Another commissioned piece for an upcoming German RPG forum. This one features the playable Caloo race that resembles anthropomorphic kangaroos.
One of the things that this species is known for is exploration. The other is their technology, which is somewhat advanced for a fantasy world, so I made her clothes a combination of steampunk and Indiana Jones.
I am in love with this picture... you have no idea. I've been wanting to draw a roo for months now. If the client didn't like the sketch then I probably would have claimed the character myself. :p
In any case, this concept will be the base for my Mican species, which are also anthro kangaroos (or at least evolved from them) but are a bit different.

This is awesome! I love the color scheme, it gives a very unique aura to the picture, that fits wonderfully! The pose is very unique, and I think it only does the rest of the scene justice. The bats, wonderful! Gives it a sense of adventure and suspense. Oh and that background, what a wonderful piece! I really like it!
