Milo and Jessie have a complicated friendship. When Milo met Jessie through his best friend Josh, he fell in love with him. He didn't let it ruin his friendship and basically suffered in silence and, in the end, even if Jessie really cared for him too Milo ended up with a broken heart. Jessie was too in love with Josh to leave him for anyone. It did have a happy ending, though, because Milo found Isa who he loves more than he has anyone in his past.
