Imprisoned by his own comrades when they found out he was a shifter, Zume felt betrayed. He could not help what he was. He was born into it. He trained for so long to become a member of the king’s guard. This training, however, did not go to waste. Filled with rage, he broke free of his cell. He had every intention of getting away from this evil place. He killed the guard watching him, took the guard’s weapons and ran for the front gate but not before the rest of the guards were alerted. He managed to get through the gate and into the wilderness. A small group caught his trail and tracked him through the wild. Zume turned his bow on his human “friends”. His aim was true and so was his new purpose. He was free.
