Ok, so I saw a photo by 
which I absolutely fell in love with. If you can't already see where this is going, I in short, gave the same sort of photo a go myself. Still prefer Gage's but I'm satisfied with the result I got :) I didn't want it to look exactly alike anyhow.
Here's the description I posted when I uploaded it to Facebook:
"Service station.
Phone torch.
60 second exposure.
60 seconds of running round trees looking like a bit of a twat at 11 at night :3"
Thank you lots to for giving me this idea and on a side note, anyone who views this photo, should go and check out the far superior work that resides in that account! Some fantastic photography.

I should do it more often really! It's fun looking like a bit of a nutcase in the dark xD

Same here I might try a few things, been thinking about it for a while now...
Wait till you start really getting into it and trying wierd camera angles involving climbing and crawling around, helps if you keep the camera close people usually figure out what's going on.
Hehe, try sticking the camera high up in one of the trees next time if you're able...

I have to admit, odd camera angles is something I really need to start getting back into again. Thank you for bringing that to my attention! Might make for some fairly less bog standard photos xD
Not sure I'll take the light painting that far though... I don't think O.o
For this photos, you can imagine in the dark that the tripod and camera were probably hidden from view for most of the truck drivers, so I must have honestly looked like a bit of a mad one :P
As for sticking the camera up high.. again, something I don't do all that often. I have a gorilla-pod in a box somewhere and it's barely seen the light of day (or moon of night) let alone find itself stuck in a tree! xD Again, something I really must try at getting into again!

Really? :D Thank you! I was aiming for a slightly cooler look, just for a more night time effect and the fact that it was bloody freezing and wet xD
Both of the monitors I have here display it differently though, so I went for the best happy medium I could achieve my end, I don't know about anyone else's screen ;_; Either way, I might try and warm it up a little and see what it looks like :) Thanks!

But yeah off to the right hand side is a fuel station, so I was somewhat surprised that someone didn't yell over to me asking me what the hell I was doing :P

If these ones managed to make it to our house I'd be bloody impressed :P Our house may back onto the motorway and service station... but those trees have gotta fly a damn long way up to get to us :P
