Disclaimer: I didn't kill this animal, she was shot for population control (they're a big problem in my town) and her death was swift
These photos were taken right after skinning. I cropped out her paws because I left her feet in so I could skin those out at a later time when I wasn't so tired. (it was about 2 am when I finished skinning her, jesus christ)
The very last photo was taken on the first day of drying
I would of thrown in some more photos of her underside, but most of them showed the fleshy side of her skin and I'm pretty sure that counts as gore
She's a decent sized female coyote which I've named Alabama. I bought her whole corpse from a farmer friend who skins and sells pelts for market.
I was hoping to rug mount her, but I think I've made too many skinning mistakes on her face for that to happen. Right now I'm air drying her pelt and she will get profesionally tanned at a later time.
Her skull is being macerated, and the rest of her corpse has been buried and will be dug up later so I can put her bones to use.
idk if I'm allowed to link these bc of gore but uh
Skinning process: http://dancingcoyote.tumblr.com/post/13246810754 (do NOT go to this link if you are squeamish of blood and gore)
