Back in spring 2009 I had the awesome opportunity to be part of the team that restored the Nostromo model from the movie Alien. It had been rotting in a driveway for over a decade and was pretty shabby. My job was gluing panels back on all over the body or replacing them if they were missing, it was a lot of work. Its finished in this picture but a few parts weren't attached until its final installation in the museum that bought it.
Here's videos of it in different phases of restoration and my awesome coworkers explaining the process. You can see me in the background a few times, I'm also the only girl.

Cool fact: We found 2 nearly complete opossum skeletons inside of it, which I got to keep. They're some of my favorite things in dead things collection because they were found in a friggin spaceship.
