Blackjack has a similar issue but I've discovered the trick for him is to bring him into the office and give him food with a little bit of chicken broth mixed in. He'll usually eat that.

Oh these were funny, I love them.

I laughed a little, and cried a little... There's a general rule about Salukis that says if it's stolen, pilfered, or growled over it tastes better, even if everyone eats the same thing. Having three of them led to mealtimes being a very interesting performance of musical dogs until the bowls were clean. Not to mention the outright protesting of my cooking that occasionally went on....

A dog...that doesn't like to eat. Your Bliss Ninny got a fuse put in backward before he was born, I think.

You'd like our two dogs - our rescue dog (purebred blond toy Yorkie) and a black terrier/poodle mutt. The Princess and the Pest.

Willow (the Yorkie) has to be locked into the kitchen to eat, otherwise she scarfs her food and heads right to Cricket's food. Cricket is twice her size, but quite finicky and will pick and tease at her food endlessly, while Willow will quite happily shove Cricket right off her food and finish it for her.

We let Willow have her way for a little bit of time, and Cricket quickly learned that if she doesn't eat her food quickly, she's going to lose it. Unlike with Bliss, the lesson actually seemed to take.
