And now in full colour.... with half-assed linework - sorry for that. Honestly, I like using rough lines with Blade more than crisp, clean lines, but... these are exceptionally raw (I should have done at least one more cleanup).

I had to colour this one, 'cause I'm very pleased with it. Forced perspective is *not* one of my strong points (I *get* it, but executing it is another matter entirely). On top of that, I have never drawn this detailed of a hindpaw before (let alone from this angle, with defined pawpads and with the toes stretched out, etc... and I did not use any references for any part of this, so... if it looks wonky, that's why... if it looks okay, then yay for me).

All that aside, Blade is something of a mixture of canine, rabbit and feline (what is an umbreon exactly, anyway?), and his skin is pinkish - yep. I was about to go for a really dark skin-skintone, then did a bit of 'research' and discovered that canon umbreons have pinkish tongues/mouthes (and fans colour their pawpads pink, usually), so I decided to go with that.

Coming back to this image, Blade's claws are only extended about halfway.

EDIT: Fixed up the lineart a little - somehow, in the original file, the linework actually got lost and I improvised by using the copy I'd made and roughened up as a guide (and usually discard before finalising the image). Just now found the original lineart and have uploaded the tweaked file.
