Even teramacro Sparklefoxes need rest after a hard day of playing around in space. Dawn is breaking on Araltys, but Erika is fast asleep, and plans on staying that way for the next few hours. She could have at least tidied her room before going to bed - she's bound to trip over something when she's getting up.
This picture was the winner of the sixth poll, and it's taken me absolutely ages. I knew when I started working on it that it'd be a very time consuming piece, so I started counting how many hours I'd spent on it. Unfortunately I lost count around the 50 hour mark, and that was 4-5 days ago. So it's probably for the best I don't know exactly how long this took.
Alternate Versions:
Full Resolution
Sunset Version
No Dramatic Lighting
Erika's Drawing - Stomping Araltys
Erika's Drawing - My Family
Erika's Drawing - Self Pawtrait

All the time you put into this payed off Stampy! All the little details look great and the lighting, especially where it drifts off into the floor from the blinds, really came out well! Maybe the next time you have a poll you'll have one that'll take you 100 hours! =P
Haha, They are indeed! The bedsheets were the first things I coloured after colouring her. You should have seen how it looked then! A giant thunderfox hugging the fabric space, with a black background. The megamacro fans watching in the stream would have been happy for me to leave it there!
"The most detailed thing you ever made just to be thrown on the floor." That dress just lying there on that planet was probably 3 hours of that time, Stamps! :3
I'd say no more than 72 hours on it, say 3 actual days of work if I had to guess.
That lighting effect is badass, Stampy. You are getting to be a badass with that, you know! :)
You should draw Sasha attempting to get her hair done next :3

Haha, pretty much. It's probably the most elaborate thing I've actually designed to just be thrown on the floor. Still I'm happy I've designed that dress now, I'll hopefully get around to actually drawing it on Erika some time in the future.
Thanks for the comment on the lighting though. I've had a few people asking me to do more dramatic lighting and this was a great chance of doing just so.
As for Sasha, she really does need drawing again. It's been a while. But not yet. I need something easier after this one, and Sasha is anything but easy!

Thanks a lot Beherit.
This is one of those cases where I had a really good idea of exactly how I wanted it to look, and it came out pretty close to what I was aiming for. And I really don't know, you're a good artist who produces high quality art time and time again. I'm pretty sure you could easily spend the same amount of time on a picture if you haven't already done so.
