Angry Birds recreated in ANSI form like on old DOS computers, complete with obligatory shareware "nag screen" with hideous colors. I love the way the birds and the pig look pretty recognizable. Over all, I'd say I'm proud of this. :3
Note: Pressing buttons won't do anything. XD So far two people have tried already. It's not a Flash game, it's a picture. (...Though it'd be nice if it were a real game. Any programmers wanna give it a shot?)

I used PabloDraw actually. My experience in doing ANSI art is fairly recent. This is the first ANSI art picture I've ever done.
I've been interested in it since I first played games like ZZT, ANSI clones of games like Tetris, Space Invaders and Super Mario Bros, and various interactive fiction.
Back in the late '90s when we still had dial-up old DOS games like that were all I really had, since downloading anything huge was an ordeal. If anything, it strengthened my imagination. Seeing people push the boundaries in ZZT and turn what was originally a top-down shooter into a platformer or a puzzle game, tell stories using only text, or craft beautiful music from the PC speakers was incredible.
I've done some ASCII art before and colored it in GIMP, but this is the first time I've done any ANSI art. I have to say I rather like it. I think I want to try doing more of it sometime.
