there really is nearly no downside to resin aside from that it will crack if you curb stomp it rather than bounce back like foam. Everything else is so much better like the ventilation, vision, comfort, jaw sensitivity, lightness, cleanliness, durability (for the most part), room for a fan.... everything basically.
