I needed to practice my environment drawing some more, after a really bad attempt over on dA. It was REALLY bad. I was very unhappy with it, but I want to get better, and my motivation to get better has resulted in this.
I'm still not happy with it. I'm trying to build this skill set, but I'm entirely self taught, so.. XD oh well!
It makes for a neat little wallpaper, too, which sits nicely in the middle of a 1920x1080 monitor, at 1440x810.
SELF CRITIQUE:
What I don't like about this is the perspective needs work, the overall environment is missing something that'd make it more interesting. The character work, while ok, still doesn't have the sort of finish quality I want. I can do better, but I was trying to work within a style. Not too easy, but whatever, I'll get it soon :D! The silhouetting is acceptable, but all it does is frame the picture. It doesn't really lend to the concept too much. The 'rain' is too dark, and the water could be done better. I wanted to build in more elements, but I struggled to figure out how at the time.
What do you think?
