Kurei - His name in Jel Tongue of the Saxhleel meaning Working Rain. Men couldn't pronounce it that well so they pronounced it as Cog-Rein and it stuck with him.
While others (Preferably the Argonians born in Cyrodiil and other provinces.) named him Sharpens-His-Tongue because he was so well taught in the language of the Empire.
Born in an Saxhleel Tribe south of the Capital of Black Marsh on 3E410. Kurei led a happy hatchling life. But the day after his naming day with the Hist The Slavers ransacked his tribe and village. Killing the older tribesmen and women and abducting the children. Kurei being one of them.
He then spent most of his life on a farm southwest of Vivec as a Slave. Being beaten and tortured by his slaveowner of the House Hlaalu. He finally escaped in a slave revolt in 3E431 and endured the worst of Vvardenfell and Morrowind as he eluded soldiers of all Houses. Seeing as free argonians in Morrowind were among impossible it seemed.
The sights he saw even furthend his hatred for the Dunmer, vowing he'd return to Morrowind to rescue more slaves from them. He stayed in Cyrodiil and studied the native language more and more. Locals in the Imperial City called him Cog-Rein and he accepted it as it could become as an alias for him if some how House Hlaalu was searching for him and his fellow freed slaves.
He served as a Sellsword for a year until he earned enough septims to have his own home inside a Tavern in the Talos District in the Imperial City. Not until The Hist called for him to return during the Oblivion Crisis did he leave the City.
He joined the An-Xileel and participated in several invasions into Oblivion gates. He closed 3 by himself. After the Oblivion Crisis ended he returned to his tribe's village to find that several of his friends had returned and rebuilt it.
He decided to stay and make home there. By 4E 6 he was a important figure to the An-Xileel (equivalent to a Lieutenant) after word came by that Vvardenfell had been destroyed by The Red Mountain and the rest of Morrowind burned to a crisp by the Ash. Cog-Rein was involved in the Retribute Invasion from beginning to end.
But after having a realization that he had committed atrocities equal to or even worse then what was dealt on him, He realized he had to leave Morrowind, Leave The Scathing Bay (crater left from the Ministry of Truth crashing into Red Mountain and it exploding.)
When he returned to Cyrodiil he witnessed an entirely different world. The Elder Council had fractured and had created a Civil War on who would become the New Emperor after Potentate Ocato was Assassinated. He decided to stay but not involve himself in the affairs of Men.
He situates himself as a scholar and on the side a Barkeep inside Leyawiin for several years. Has hatchlings with a Cyrodiilic native Argonian named Jaded-is-Her-Sin. He did not settle down with her though but guides her and their hatchlings to The Hist tree of his Village so they could reside there until their Naming Day.
