I had their thoughts exactly when I had to read the stupid plays in High School. It's totally meaningless! It's like teaching a new computer user how to use Windows 98, which I have little doubt no one uses today, instead of something more recent like Windows Vista/Windows XP/Windows 7.
WWII? Sure! We need to know this so we don't make their mistakes. Same way the NTSB investigates plane crashes.

How about Chemistry? Maybe not the chemical equations so much unless you're going to major in that area of study but absolutely for the substances so you don't go up to a random beaker filled with who knows what and end up passing out/dying because you didn't check to see what it was first.

Learning this on the other hand is totally moot! Since no one these days speaks this way, why learn it? Our lives do NOT depend on learning it at all! FYI: That second speech bubble is Scootaloo's not Apple Blooms and yes Sweetie Belle is just as annoyed but you can't see her expression well.
