HIM: "I love her. I cant think of anything else but her. My heart burns with desire for her. Every time I look into her eyes, I feel more in love than I ever felt before. I wish to kiss her. I want to kiss her. I lean forward with my muzzle cocked to the side, my lips slightly apart, awaiting hers to connect with mine. As I move closer, I began to feel like I am swimming through air, my mind clouded with love. This feeling is unique to me. I hesitate, just to feel that moment as my eyes gaze into hers."
HER: " My heart beats rapidly when I am near him. My breath quickens and my tail fluffs. He leans forward slowly to kiss me. I cannot help but feel my body tense up, like it is being preparing itself for a car crash. he is getting closer, his lips parted a little and his eyes lock onto my own. My fist clench as he draws closer. For a moment, he stops, our breath connects and our eyes fixed on the other. I could feel his breath running over my lips, and mine over his. Its warm; our breaths. We connect in a way that we never have before..."
To me, a kiss means a lot. It is the next step from a hug. When your lips connect to the other, you feel something traveling through your lips and spread all over your body. For that small second, you connect yourself to that person on a more intimate connection. That person allowed his/her own lips to touch yours, knowing full well that you are perfectly safe.
However, there is a moment that happens before a kiss: It is the second BEFORE the kiss is made, a moment where hesitation takes place. Your lips are less than a half an inch apart and all you could feel now is the soft breath of the other, a warm spot where you share your breath with the other. Your eyes are also open as you gaze at the other's lips or in their eyes themselves. You can see what lays in their eyes. Can you see your own reflection? Can you see anything at all? Many say that one's eyes are windows to one's soul. if you can see yourself in their eyes as clear as day, you know that you are being welcomed into the others soul. If you look harder, you can almost see your future with that person, for good or bad.
Never take a kiss for granted.

Nicely done. And well said, too. There was this one girl in particular that I dated a few years ago, and man, she had this way of looking at me when she wanted to be kissed. If cartoon physics applied, I would have consistently burst into flame, and crumbled away as ash.
Somehow, this picture especially convinces me that they're both holding their breaths.
