So I got home and decided randomly to have a bash at this WinterBanner2011 thing. I really like this cause I know for a fact this time last year I would have never even tried to attempt this cause it would have just gone horribly horribly catastrophically wrong.
I feel happy with this. Happy and chilly

ker-smack! I love her pose; it's so dynamic, like she's in motion and yet it's a still picture. Also I like how there aren't any motion lines following the snowball, but the horizon and fence lines kind of substitute for them. The dramatic viewing angle is eyecatching! This is soooo cool! Way to go Gem!

While i didn't think your adult work would look as good on a smaller scale, I have to admit i was wrong. This has that pixelated look that i love, yet it looks very clean and well laid out. I love it!! Hopefully we see it up soon.

fankyoo heaps and heaps. ive just been looking through other banners and i didnt realise that the whole snowball thing has been done several times so i dont think i stand a snowballs chance lol but it was still super fun to do and i feel really proud of it

How did you do this in such a small space? I'm working on my own and drawing the characters at "normal" size then shrinking them to fit into the space seems to detract from them. Also were you able to find a god ref for ?ednef?

I basically used a canvas double the size of the requirement so...1050x550 (i think) and then when the whole thing was finished i resized the canvas. Also if you search rednef one of the first hits is a ref sheet, which is how i also did fender
