Well, if he has like just that one appearance when he was just introduced and then move on, yea, he would have been entertaining because it was just a weird random encounter. Just chuckle and let it slide since he wont be seen again. But unfortunately, you only have a certain limit you can do to make the character... err.. entertaining. But he stuck around too long to just being flat out annoying. Maybe it would have been funny if I didnt have class mates at my old school wasnt just like that, though Im not sure even that would make any difference.
Of course, maybe it would have been funny if it were Abbott and Costello in a situation like that. That I can definitely smile about.

Heh. Who knows? I guess some people have different levels of tolerance for certain types. I'm generally kinda forgiving with movies 'cause I guess I'm easily impressed, though if the flaws are pointed out I can often see the point. So long as it's a well-thought-out argument, such as yours.
It would be interesting to see a different version where he'd been given only the one scene (maybe popping up in a cameo later with the rest of the people running for the escape pods), but I think we'd need to hit another timeline to see that.
Heh. Reminds me of some characters of mine... they'd probably be able to get us a few versions for Movie Night. XD Be fun to see the differences in them.
