Hey there everybody! =D Here it is! Finally the full ending to the Double Act story! I hope everybody enjoys it and I have two pics I plan to do to go with this so keep an eye out for those! =D
Anyway Nanny & Teddy-Chan have won! But in the locker room a serious discussion is taking place... well... as serious as you can get between a giant toddler and a sailor moon wanna-be kangaskhan. And everybodies favorite bubbly zangoose shows back up! =D

“Yes Petie?”
“So we actually WON…”
“Uh huh.”
“And the crowd was cheering and applauding…”
“Yep, they were going wild.”
“AND YOU DIDN’T WAKE ME UP FOR IT!!?”
“You needed your rest, now stop squirming. We need to get you into a dry diaper before anybody comes in here.”
Petie grumbled, blushed, and pouted at this but stropped struggling, letting Rose change him. He knew it was due to that stupid condition but he still HATED the fact he couldn’t keep himself dry when he slept. Luckily she had him re-diapered and back into his costume in a few minutes as she sat him back up on the bench “There.” she said smiling “Now then lets talk about the match.”
“… what’s there to talk about?” Petie said softly, looking away. Rose gently made him turn his head back to face her “Why so down?” she asked “We won didn’t we? You told me you wanted to win a match didn’t you?” she said, gently tickling his ears making Petie blush more and clumsily try to push her hand away “That’s just it…” he said, looking at his feet “YOU won the match… I was just there in the way.”
“… is that what you think?”
“It’s the truth isn’t it?”
“Oh Petie…”
The teddiursa squeaked in surprise as Rose suddenly scooped him up and cradled him to her, the kangaskhan’s face filling up his vision as she leaned down till they were nose to nose “Petie, I would have been knocked out if you hadn’t used that Attract when you did, your support made the brawl against Agatha that much easier, and I honestly don’t know which way things would have gone if you hadn’t used Snore to flinch her when you did. You weren’t “In my way” any… even if you goofed up a little at the start you still helped win the match for us.”
“But…”
“But nothing.” She said, putting a finger to silence Petie’s protest “Unless it’s a certain diapered bear butt about to get spanked for talking down about himself again. We’re a team Petie, if we win it’s cause we won together so don’t ever think you didn’t do anything to help. Got it?” she said forcefully, making Petie gulp and nod. As if that had never happened Rose was all smiles again as she rubbed noses with him “Perfect! And for a first time in a doubles match I think you did really good!”
“Not really…”
“Oh?” Rose smirked a little “Well I think you did just fine.” She said sitting Petie up on her lap “You followed our strategy and signals, your choice of moves while in my pouch was good, and there was one REALLY important thing you did…” Petie blinked and scratched his head, trying to think of what she was talking about. After a few minutes of this Rose gently poked his nose “You used Attract and Rest DESPITE being embarrassed by them.” She said proudly.
“… and that matters because…?”
“Petie… baby bro… you’ve got to get over yourself at some point.” she said honestly “That’s why I dressed you up like this… well one of the reasons. You think being embarrassed is going to kill you or something so you keep holding yourself back…” she suddenly bounced him on her knee, making him yipe as he was airborn for a moment before she caught him “Newsflash Petie, being embarrassed isn’t gonna hurt you nor is it gonna change the fact you have to wear diapers or look like a little kid… so why let it stop you?” The teddiursa blushed and whined at this as he squirmed in her arms.
“But…”
“There you go using that word again…” she said, tapping her finger to his mouth for silence “Look… I’m not asking you to pull some kind of dramatic personality change overnight, just think about it for now okay? Oh! And try to be happy, we won after all.” She finished with a grin. Petie sat in her arms blushing for a moment before smiling timidly in return “O-otay… I’ll… I’ll twy… er.. try…” he said making Rose grin and hug him “That’s my little brother! Now then lets…”
“HELLOOOO!? NANNY AND TEDDY-CHAN! YOU IN HERE!!?”
They both looked up and blinked, recognizing the sing song voice. Rose sat Petie down on the bench next to her just as Suzie rounded the corner. The zangoose looked remarkably chipper for having just lost a match, though she wasn’t skipping like before and was moving a bit slower. Petie’s ears drooped a little as he realized that she must still be recovering from the beating Agatha gave them both in the arena. Suddenly he was feeling incredibly guilty all over again as he opened his mouth to try and apologize.
And was abruptly cut off by Suzie bending down and kissing him on the nose “Congratulations!” she chirped, leaving Petie to blush bright red as she turned and gave Rose a hug “It was a fun match!” she added as the two just stared at her for a moment. Rose recovered faster than Petie and asked the obvious question “Sooo… you’re not angry you lost?” the zangoose just shook her head and giggled “Nope! I tried my best so why should I be?” they stared at her again for a few minutes before Rose spoke up “Not even a little bit?”
“Weeeeell… I’m a little disappointed I didn’t do better… but nope! Not angry at all!” she smiled at them before bending down and gently tickling Petie’s tummy “Besides who can stay angry at this cute little guy?” she said giggling innocent as Petie giggled and squirmed at the tickles. “… what about your teammate? She seemed… upset.” Rose asked as she watched the two, unable to keep from smiling at the cute scene.
“Um… she WAS really angry actually…” Suzie said, sitting down and pulling Petie so he was sitting in her lap, the teddiursa’s squeak of surprise and babbled protests were silenced both by the fact his head was resting against her chest and her gently teasing his pacifier into his mouth “In fact she said us losing was all my fault which I thought was rather silly, but when I told her so she got even angrier at me.”
“That doesn’t surprise me in the least.”
“Then she said she was disbanding the team and she never wanted to see me again.” Suzie finished cheerfully, gently tickling Petie’s toes. This made both Petie & Rose’s jaws drop, Petie’s pacifier falling free, as they looked at her in utter shock. Noticing this Suzie blinked and tilted her head to the side “What…?” she asked innocently. The two stared at her for a moment then started speaking at once.
“She did WHAT!? That flaming little pile of…”
“I’m so sowwie! I didn’t mean to get yu in twoble! Pwease dun hate me!”
Suzie winced as she obviously could barely understand what one of them was saying over the other. This went on for about a minute before she took a deep breath and shouted “QUIET!!!” at the top of her lungs silencing them both. She took a calming breath, put Petie’s pacifier back in his mouth, and smiled “I’m not upset over it and I don’t blame either of you at all, so don’t worry about it.” she said innocently as Petie promptly pulled his pacifier out “Bu-bu-but… we ruined your team!” he protested, teary eyed.
Suzie cooed and turned him around so he was facing her, using her soft and fluffy tail to wipe his tears away “D’aaaaaaaaaw! Don’t cry cutie! You didn’t ruin the team… if Agatha was willing to part with me that easily we were never a real team to begin with.” She said, cooing Petie gently like he was an upset toddler “And if she was willing to attack me that easily she wasn’t a very good friend either, so I think I’m better off without her!” she playfully tapped the teddiursa’s nose “Don’t you?”
Petie flushed bright red at that and willingly popped his pacifier back into his mouth to keep him from squeaking thanks to the view of Suzie this angle gave him. Rose giggled and gave them both a hug “That’s an amazingly mature thing to figure out Suzie, we’re both really happy for you!” the zangoose smiled and hugged back, one arm still snuggling Petie, as she grinned “Thanks! Anyway this way it’ll give me more time to try something new!” she said, bouncing Petie a little “I was think about joining the cheerleading squad… think I have a chance?”
The teddiursa’s face somehow managed to turn an even brighter red as he sucked hard on the pacifier to try and keep from imagining Suzie in a cheerleader outfit… at least while she had him on her lap anyway. Rose patted Petie’s head to help him take his mind off his obvious frustration as she grinned “I think you have more than a chance, and I promise me and Petie will be there to cheer you on when you try out!” Suzie let out an adorable happy squeal “Yay! Thank you! Of course I’ve got something else I came in here to tell you too. Wanna hear it?”
“Sure!”
“I’m going to start a Nanny & Teddy-Chan fan club!”
Even with his pacifier in his mouth Petie’s squeak of disbelief was obvious as Rose blinked “Really?” she asked curiously “Can I ask why?” Suzie nodded, gently bouncing the still flustered Petie in her arms “Sure! You see I really, really like your style! I mean a brother and sister fighting together like that? That’s really, really cool!” she said, thrusting her free hand into the air for emphasis “That… and I wanna support little Teddy-Chan here.” She added, hugging Petie close as the teddiursa’s jaw dropped, pacifier falling free again, as he stuttered.
“S-support me!?”
“Uh huh.” Suzie said, setting him on her lap again “You remind me of my baby sister… she’s just turned two a few weeks ago and she needs lots of support and encouragement. You’re just about as cute as her and it’d be a shame if you didn’t have somebody cheering you on… so why not me?” she said, giggling innocently as Petie sat there dumbfounded “Besides, everybody could use some encouragement to help them do their best and get better and EVERYBODY loves seeing adorable little babies trying their hardest too!” she cheered holding Petie up in the air and grinning to him.
Rose was doing her best not to burst out laughing at this “Well it seems you’ve made up your mind and thought this through already.” she said, holding out her arms to take Petie from the zangoose before he exploded with embarrassment “So all I can say is best of luck!” Suzie handed Petie over and smiled “Thanks! Oh! Did you know there’s a bunch of people waiting for you over by the main entrance to the arena?” she asked, tilting her head cutely again.
Rose cradled Petie and nodded “Yep, I told everybody that was where” she suddenly hopped to her feet and struck a pose with Petie still cradled in one are “Nanny & Teddy-Chan!! Would be signing autographs after the match… actually I think I’ve kept them waiting a bit too long…” she said rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. Suzie hopped up as well “Okay then! I’ll go tell them you’re on your way!” she hugged Rose and gave Petie a soft kiss on the cheek “See you two later okay? Love you! Bye bye!” she shouted as she giggled and skipped off out of the locker room leaving the two alone.
Rose sat Petie down on the bench and hummed softly as she packed up all their things. She was nearly done when he finally snapped out of his shellshocked state “Tell me that didn’t just happen…” he whispered. Rose smiled and patted his head “It did, didn’t you tell me you wanted a pretty girl who wouldn’t mind cuddling you?” she asked, making Petie blush more and protest “B-but not like THAT! She sees me like her baby sister! She.. she…”
“She’s a sweet girl who wants to support you and help you do your best.”
“But… fanclub…”
“You should be happy about that! It means you’re popular! Of course if it bothers you so much you could always hope she doesn’t get any members… but that might make her sad.”
“No… I don’t want that… but…”
“I thought so, anyway for now Petie just be happy. You won a match and you got a pretty fan in the process. Most people would consider that a great day.”
“Fine… but Rose?”
