AMG that is just BEAUTIFUL Angel!
Her feet are just... they make me all giggly. The purple pads? I love them. They make me wanna play with her toesies. The slight bulges below the digits make it look a LOT more like a grasping limb, which is just what it is since dragons can cling to rocks and such at all different crazy angles. Especially Azurea, since enough speed lets her run along the wall like a crazy gecko (at least in my stories. XD).
Her tail appears to be much longer, and it's no mistake that it takes up almost exactly half of her length from nose to tip. Looking at a lot of real life lizards, that's about the proportion you usually see. It tips the picture more towards realism so that we believe she's a living, breathing creature.
I see you've gone with more of a "hang-glider" wing structure, instead of "bats" style. There's no "hands" or "digits" in her wings anymore, and she looks more like she's got wings from her shoulders to well-past her haunches. Was this design choice on purpose? Not the usual western-european style that she used to be. That's a big change.
There's a LOT more muscle on her, especially up around her shoulders and at the base of her wings. I can really tell you've been looking at some sort of art book to get such specific muscle structures and display them so prominantly. Again it reminds me of the details in "Affairs" because several times it is mentioned that Azurea is losing her baby fat, living a more draconic life. You seem to have built her in a much more toned and defined way, telling of a much more active lifestyle than the original design of Azurea. She's slimmed down and muscled out.
Her mane is just gorgeous, too. I wanna stroke it. XD I apprieciate that the mane has no real dark outline or anything around it. This makes it look much softer and airy, like a real set of hair or fur. All the work that went into making that part of her fluffier certainly paid off, even in her tail-tuffet there. XD
I like the guard scales as well. The white-ish outline that you left around them keeps them from looking too heavy or metallic. She's not an armored beast like Searanox, she's a creature of the sky and of the air. A flier. Being built for grace and flight means she can't be built too heavily, and you certainly seemed to take that into consideration.
All in all a wonderful piece, Angel. This revamp of Azurea seems far more realistic, gracefully built, and certainly beautiful to look at. :)

She ran around like a gecko in the RP too love haha, she climbs on ceilings there too.
Her wings were too big for me to show the extra stuff on her wings sadly so we only see about half of what her wings actually look like. As a whole they're more bat-like if you look at the digital sketch. The wings are based on several suggestions from the book, and I think the step-by-step posing I chose had them like that too which I think matches the digital one.
New book is helping me make muscle structures but I forgot one thing on this sketch...her guard scales on her legs have to see if I can add them without destroying the drawing, I'll do a little part and see how it turns out. I slimmed her down quiiiite a bit from the first sketch haha her head was too small and her body was huge.
Thanks Azzy for being so thorough and I'm glad you like it.
