Learning Flash: Unnamed Shooter Version 0.2
A week later (and one flash Animation between) an updated version of my shooter game.
I've added a player charged shot (which will cut through the enemy shots), and gave the enemy some orbiting attack units as well as a shield. The enemy shots fire a bit slower from the previous version, giving you more time to shoot them down.
I still have to add in an enemy charged attack as well as explosions and impact effects. Once that's done I'll probably be more ready to create a mech opponent.

Yeah, they are difficult. My advice is to just use the machine gun. Another trick is to shoot down the main units shots, then charge and hope you can destroy an orbiter. It takes luck as you have next to no window to aim, and half the time the orbits fire before you are charged.

Still, not the slightest chance at all. I didn't even notice you're able to shot down those orbiters. I did see that I can shoot the red shots of the enemy. and I guess you can shoot the main unit when the orbiters are away (guessed by the soundeffect, I've only seen neglible change on his health bar). So no, I'll never have any chance of even playing any of those games if that's the default difficulty.
Charged shots looks to me like 4 big cyan circles, which get smaller on a slightly curved path, and in the last stage being replaced by the normal green shot circle. This whole game is circles :)

The "easiest" way to defeat the enemy is to kill the orbiters and don't worry about shooting the main unit till they're are dead.
Additionally, don't shoot the main target when it's shielded. The shield can be broken, and once it's broken it'll start shooting at you repeatedly with very few breaks.
Basically if you kill the shield without killing the orbiters it gets really hard to fight back.
