I love how your horses are so connected to the landscape, to their environment. (That reminds me a bit of Franz Marc, though you achieve this in a quite different way.) In this case the enduring nature and majesty of the geologic formations and sky are clearly echoed in the equines. The vertical format and specific vertical placement of the elements, among other things also help with that feeling.
