The hatchling believes that he has found the perfect pet to love and adore.
The snake believes that he has captured the perfect slave that will feed him and provide a great platform to bask upon.
Both are correct in their own way.

Also before anyone says anything about the being a slave comment... you have to be a reptile owner to understand.
