One of Spectre's 3 babies.
Those on my facebook friends will know about Spectre's escape and her rendezvous with Broadway. I won't go into details here but suffice to say, in 14 years with not a single 'oops' litter, this was a very unexpected and fluke incident.
We wanted to spay her to terminate the litter, but the vet considered it a high risk op for her.
(If anyone wants to know more about the idea of spaying does to prevent litters, just ask. Otherwise, its something I'll assume everyone here knows about)
So very long story short, we have 3 kittens here.
Please do not grill me or question me on this litter, it is a personal thing and has involved far more heartache than ANY of you will ever know.
So don't even guess.
Just enjoy the babies, as I'm doing.
Obviously it is always better that litters of unknown parents/from rescue rats are never born, but they are, and they're here, and all three will remain with me for life.
Born on Sunday morning.

Lol, I don't mind that kind of comment!
The world of rats is VERY political, though, particularly when it comes to this kind of situation with non-planned babies. People who know nothing about the specifics or anything involved with a particular litter like to run their mouth off as if they know all the details. Hence, Im just keeping my mouth shut about all of it and just sharing cute babies!

Most everyone I know who has had rats for a number of years has had either an accident or a very close call.
With me, it was moving Spectre into a bigger, new cage after her quarantine period, and her managing to squeeze out. It was a cage my girls had lived in for years and years without any indication of anyone ever getting out, but of course, she had to be the one oddity to do so!
Could never have anticipated it would ever happen. On the upside, it did prompt me to modify all my cages to prevent it ever happening again!
