This is my own vision of a five years later "follow-up" of the characters from the franco-japanese serie Les Mystérieuses Cités d'Or (The Mysterious Cities of Gold), that ended long ago although there were six more cities of gold around the world to discover (two new series are actually in production, but they barely have anything in common with the old one).
This show was relatively unnoticed in Japan and America, but it is one of those series here in France that was the most popular and it still got an enormous success more than twenty years after its original release. I saw it again a few monthes ago, and maybe it's nostalgy, but contrary to many shows, it didn't age or anything in my opinion.

DUDE! I LOVED this show! I remember coming back home from school to watch this show, with it's great story and competent animation, as well as engaging characters. Also it helped that they flew in that magnificent golden condor at I time when my interest in birds was starting to take hold. =3

Hmm.. I bought an 'unauthorised' soundtrack a few years back and the majority of the music was intact and wonderful quality. Some of the tracks were 'reconstructed', dialogue removed via a karaoke filter and such, but was still okay. There are english dubs around, people recorded the entire thing off Nickelodeon, though obviously not the best quality.. I have been hearing more and more rumours it will make it out on English DVD soon though!
Well, I didn't scan my older pics (there are very few furry-related ones anyway), and there are almost no new ones because I'm full of commissions and am in a low period, so... So I'm afraid I'll for a time upload one pic per week instead of three. That may come very very soon.
One of my favorite shows ever! This is one of the things in my childhood that gave me an interest in archeology. Is that Mendoza with the beard on the left? Then Zia, Esteban, and Tau?
But who is the man in the mask? I don't remember him, or maybe I didn't see that far. :( The last I remember seeing was the Olmecs, who looked like elves.

Yep, these are those characters ! ^^ As for the one on the right, that's the guardian of the City of Gold discovered by the children, and, unknown to Esteban, his father, who sacrifices himself at the end of the serie when the core of the city of gold goes havoc thanks to the Olmecs.
