Soviet test of thermonuclear saturation bombing dream 12 8 2011. Interestingly enough, this dream is about a bombing technique that (probably, huh) both the old CCCP and the USA studied in great detail. I know some of the ultra-painfully-brilliant guys they had working on this idea to totally fuck up the Earth as much as possible.

Yes, techniques like this were studied in considerable detail, though not actively tested as far as I know.
The Los Alamos lads prefered very clean single tests that they could extrapolate greater data from.
Not only has every weapon in history been used to its full potential, every weapon has eventually been
surpassed by something more powerful or precise.
The nuclear bomb is 65 years old. It's really old technology. Oppenheimer and Fermi worked it all out on slide rules.
We have only three weapons left in the inventory from WW II. The .45 automatic, the Browning .50 caliber, and the atomic bomb.
I wonder what we'll see next.
