Heheh really nice picture. Interesting splash of colors in the background, and I’ve always loved your little shadow creatures. Find the character’s expression interesting, has a look on his face like he knows he’s going insane. If you don’t mind my asking, have you ever actually experienced any hallucinations (audio, visual, or taste), or do you get your inspiration from dreams or fantasy. I’ve always kind of wondered, since it’s a re-occurring theme in a lot of your art.
Ah alright. Figured you probably had. I have minor hallucinations at night every once in awhile (sometimes more frequent than others). Never taken any hallucinogens in my life so I guess I just have a bit of crazy in me. Doesn’t interfere with anything though, since the stuff I see could never actually exist; so it’s not hard to distinguish or anything. Heheh normally just keep it to myself, since I imagine most people will want to haul you off to a shrink who will feed you some garbage for a couple hundred dollars an hour for that kind of thing, but I don’t really see any danger in mentioning it here. Mind certainly can be a weird thing at times, but people seem to often have a misleading idea of hallucinations; it’s not hard at all to function normally with them, but I guess some people have it more severe than others.
Haven't done stuff like that in ages but they are pretty much just scribbles. Used to wonder if there wasn't something to it cause I'd end up doing it in times of stress or if I zoned out while trying to write/draw. But I think its just that, a wandering mind with my hand still moving. I think its uniform because my brain is trying to actually write while my mind is blank. So it moves in somewhat familiar, even patterns. At least that's my current theory.
