Yay! It's after midnight here, so it's now officially Dec 10th, which means I can finally upload my CSS entry! :D (CSS = "Cervine Secret Santa", the holiday drawing exchange for TheDivineCervine group on DA: http://thedivinecervine.deviantart.com/ ) Those of us participating in this year's round all submitted our names, and were each paired up with another person at random. The char chosen for me to draw was Luckie's lovely doe, "Lockett", which has vines around her neck, a feathered tail, wrappings on her forelegs, and stripes on her back: http://1luckiesta.deviantart.com/ar.....I-ID-251698828

I was originally just going to do a sketch, but as usual, I got a bit carried away, so I inked it, and then added a bit of muted color with these stock textures set to 50% opacity:

Her head was referenced from here: http://chuckrondeau.deviantart.com/.....cret-250860849 and her body from several photos of sleeping does. I also stylized her leg wrappings to fit in more with the overall design. Hope she likes it! :) And Happy Holidays, everyone! :D My own Christmas card will be posted soon...still working on it. XD

I just get all giddy when you post something. It's absolutely stunning ad I always get inspired a new!
She does have such a delicate look to her- as equal at that feathered tail! You certainly are so connected to the cervine!

So peaceful. Such a pretty, happy picture. And I'm impressed by the ear-tips and the fur on the flank, it looks like a real deer's flank.

GORGEOUS character concept, and you really brought it to life, this looks so real! the tail is gorgeous, the wrappings are so well-textured as is the fur...and the vines make such a nice frame...just, gorgeous.
