Azzy's tail swayed excitedly behind her as she waited for her mate Zaelo to arrive. Never known for her patience, she found herself nearly to the point of bouncing off the walls at the thought of being close to the dragon again. It had been months since they were together, and they'd counted down the days till now... and it was almost time.

Finally a soft, blessed sound reached the fox's ears -- the sound of flapping wings. Azzy gave a happy yip, tail nearly a blur of wagging energy behind her as she searched the skies. It didn't take her long to spot him, his furious wingbeats driving him quickly to the ground near her, back paws touching down with a gentle *thump*.

The fluffy dragon didn't even have time to let his front paws hit the ground before the vulpine had pounced into his arms, the girl giving Zaelo lick after happy, relieved lick on the tip of his grinning muzzle. Her arms wrapped around his neck, and his paws gave her plush rump a playful squeeze as he nuzzled into her powder blue puppykisses. "I missed you," he rumbled softly, gazing into her eyes.

"I missed you too, love," she whispered, smiling up at her mate with all the love in the world.

This was a messy colors commission done by  sidian. Such an adorable, happy picture! It was done while  vaeghor and I were still living apart a country away, and this helped ease the loneliness. :D
